Bonfire Trader was founded on November 19th, 2020, and officially registered as Bonfire Trader Strategic Pvt. Ltd. in 2022. Established by Upendra Nimmadi and Bobbili Chandra Sekhar, our offices are located in Vizianagaram (Andhra Pradesh) and Hyderabad ( Telangana).
We began with a bold vision: to create financial awareness among 50% of India’s population by 2047. Our mission is to empower individuals with money-making skills through comprehensive financial education. Upendra Nimmadi
Upendra Nimmadi is the visionary Founder and CEO of Bonfire Trader Strategic Pvt. Ltd. He oversees the company’s entire operations, including business management, financial planning, and the creation of innovative trading strategies. He is also the face of Bonfire Trader’s YouTube channel, providing insightful pre-market and post-market analyses to help traders and investors stay informed.
As a certified investment advisor, Upendra has achieved multiple certifications from NISM in mutual funds and investment advisory and is currently pursuing qualifications in Portfolio Management Services (PMS) and equity research analysis. He is an active trader and investor, with expertise spanning every corner of the financial markets.
Educational Background:
Upendra completed his B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from MVGR College of Engineering in 2018. However, his journey into trading and entrepreneurship began after a significant turning point in his life—the loss of his father shortly after graduation. This life-changing event left him in a dilemma, unsure about fulfilling his dream of starting a business and creating employment opportunities.
Journey into Trading:
In July 2018, a friend introduced Upendra to the stock market, beginning an extraordinary journey. He recalls his first trade on Ashok Leyland, where he made just 1 rupee in profit—a blind trade without any knowledge of technical or fundamental analysis. Despite his lack of experience, he saw the immense potential of the stock market to fulfill his dreams.
One pivotal moment was when he came across a social media post showcasing a profit of ₹4000 from an investment of ₹1000. Inspired, he ventured into F&O trading, starting with options buying. With just ₹10,000, he managed to earn ₹40,000 within five days, boosting his confidence. Encouraged, he borrowed ₹4 lakhs from his family, increasing his trading capital to ₹5 lakhs. However, an early mistake—buying far OTM put options without understanding expiry dynamics—resulted in a significant loss of over 50% of his capital. This setback motivated him to dive deep into learning options trading thoroughly.
Over the years, Upendra mastered options trading and transitioned to options selling. By creating and refining his own strategies through experience and rigorous practice, he grew his capital to ₹35 lakhs within four years. His trading journey evolved into a mission to empower others with financial knowledge and skills.
Bonfire Trader:
Upendra’s dream of creating employment opportunities took a new direction. Instead of building traditional jobs, he envisioned a platform that would raise financial awareness and empower individuals to generate wealth independently. With the support of his friend and co-founder, Chandu, Bonfire Trader was born. Initially, they provided free educational content on YouTube to help beginners. However, Upendra realized that charging an affordable fee for premium services would filter serious learners and fast-track his mission to create independent and skilled traders.

Born in Kavalapadu, a small village near Tuni, Sekhar grew up in a family with limited financial means. His early years were marked by challenges, but these hardships only strengthened his resolve to create a better future. While pursuing a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering at Raghu Engineering College, Sekhar juggled his studies with the pressures of financial constraints.
In 2018, during his second year of college, Sekhar found himself at a turning point. Overwhelmed by life’s challenges, he sought direction. A life-changing conversation with his close friend and future mentor, Upendra Ji, introduced him to the fascinating world of the stock market. The Journey into Trading
With just ₹5,000 as his initial capital, Sekhar started trading in Crude Oil Commodities while attending college during the day. The early days were grueling—marked by mistakes, losses, and sleepless nights. Determined to succeed, Sekhar joined forces with Upendra, and together, they moved to Vizag, dedicating themselves entirely to mastering the art of trading.
From 9 AM to 3:30 PM, they traded equity markets; from 4 PM to 11:30 PM, they shifted focus to commodities. Their journey was far from smooth. Losses and setbacks were frequent, but they viewed every failure as a stepping stone. They meticulously documented their mistakes in a TRADEBOOK, relentlessly refining their strategies.
Through trial and error, Sekhar and Upendra developed 28 trading strategies, experimenting with various technical indicators. The turning point came when they discovered the power of Price Action Trading, which revolutionized their approach. This breakthrough marked the beginning of consistent profits and a deeper understanding of market dynamics.
